Default What's Your Favorite T206?

After reading the What Was Your First Pre-war Card thread, I noticed that most collectors first card was a T206. So what is your favorite T206 card. I'm a pretty young collector and my dad and I collect mainly the Black Sox, so i don't really have any experience with T206's. The only T206 that I have ever held was at the 2008 National. I went to the Mastro Live Auction, and after the auction I was allowed to hold the PSA 5 (MC) Wagner that had just sold for $1.6 mill. That is one of my greatest collecting memories so far and hopefully one of many more to come, plus my dad and I had a great time. So my favorite T206 card is the PSA 5 (MC) Wagner. Whats yours?

Default Cobb Bat Off

I just recently did a trade on the BST for this Cobb and received it a few days ago in the mail. I was blown away at the card and now it is my "favorite" T206

P.S. The BST is awesome! I put up a post to trade my for N172's for a couple of Cobb's and within a week I now have a Red Cobb portrait and this one. I just wanted to say thanks to the guys I traded with and also want to give a shout out to the BST!

Hard to pick one. Matty White Cap? Cobb Bat Off? Big Ed Walsh? It's like trying to select the most beautiful Playmate of the Month. I'll go with Mr. Merkle, nobly manning first base.

I'm going to go with Shag Shaughnessy as my favorite card from the set. Love the popped collar look and the fro. Makes him kind of look like a vampire......or Count Shagula.

Tough question. Either:

Tris Speaker - it was my first t206.

or

Cy Young portrait - purchased with money given to me from my grandparents and have sentimental attachment to that card.

I don't really know if it's my favorite but for the few that I own, I've always thought this McGraw had a nice look.

My favorite that I own is the Cobb Red, with this Gandil a close second. I love the colors in it.

Favorite that I do not own has to be the Walter Johnson portrait.

Without question my favorite is the Mustachioed John Titus.

Titus also happened to be (along with a beat up 1933 Goudey Pepper Martin) my first pre-war baseball card, a gift from my father. I got the two mentioned and Rhys (my brother) got a 1933 Goudey Lefty O'Doul and a T206 McElveen. I still own the Martin, but the Titus has been lost over time.

I think most are drawn to a certain HOF cards. Maybe, it has to do the prestige you feel when you finally obtain that particular item. I'm no different. I love the same 4 portraits listed above. But, my favorite T206 of all time was a PSA 2 Jimmy Sheckard with the circus in the backround. I bought the card from the late Tony C. at the Philly show a couple of years back. The card looked NM/MT, except it had been kept for years in a four corner holder. It had 4 very faint marks and PSA hammered it. I ended up selling it on eBay and still don't know why I did. Unfortunately, I lost the scans of the card and have nothing to show. If I ever see that card again, I will pay whatever it takes to get it back!

I believe that is an old ballfield pavilion or stand in the background. Quite a few T206 and Obak's have them, I always thought they were a little whimsical.

Default Favorite T206

Not my card but my favorite because of the pose and colors. I've managed to get card but would like to upgrade if anyone is selling.
