Default Cobb Diary in Halper Collection Was a Fake

http://www.sportscollectorsdaily.com...as-a-fake.html

I thought I had heard someone say before that some of the jerseys from the Halper collection were questionable. Does anyone know anything about that?

Look at the auction catalogs from the sale of his collection - where the uniform is put next to a vintage photo purportedly showing the player in the same or similar uni, there are some that just don't look right. I don't have the catalogs at hand, but I recall that McGinnity and maybe Jimmy Collins (an old lace up front) just didn't look authentic at all.
