Sweet Caporal Pins -- Red or Black Backs?
What is the incidence of black backs compared to red? Clearly red is the minority but anyone have an idea how much of a minority?

Jeff,
Not sure what the ratio for red-black is or if there is even a premium for the red. There was a Cobb LL with red backing on e-bay not too long ago, did you pick that one up? It was raw, but in pretty nice shape. I put in a bid, but didn't chase too hard for it. Mike |

Jeff-
I do not have an answer to your questions but the thread linked below has a little bit of information. As I indicated in the thead linked below, this set (as well as many others) would probably benefit from a survey thread similar to Ted Z's threads regarding T206s. I'm resurrecting this ancient thread to see if there's any updated info on the prevalence of backs with the red lettering. There was a large-letter Cobb with the red text in the Clean Sweep auction, and all the Cobbs I'd seen to that point have the black text. Are all the red ones Factory 42 with the scroll, like this Cobb?
