Does anyone on the forum collect this set? They seem to be very rare. I see a Ty Cobb card on ebay now (not my card or anyone I know). PSA has only graded 27 cards from this set.

I see from the Vintage card guide there were 50 cards in the set. It was supposedly issued in Canada. It also says they are 2" x 3 1/4" and were issued in two types: black/white and sepia.

Does anyone have any cards to show?

Thanks.
Dan

Dan P:

I have been looking for a Travis Jackson from the set for 6 years now, they are extremely tough to find.

Default neat poses

Since most, if not all, of the poses are unique to the set they are some interesting cards. I know a few collectors doing the set. They are really scarce though. Interestingly, in the 1953 ACC, Burdick said: V89 "(50) about 1 3/4 x 3 1/4 proofs. Seen in proof form, possibly not issued." and he assessed their value at a mere .03 cents each.
