Default Warning on V100 Willard Babe Ruth

This is a warning on this V100 Willard Chocolates Babe Ruth Card:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1923-WILLARD...item2ebe0676d7

I BOUGHT this card a few months ago, and had to return it because the seller failed to mention that the "crease" was actually a tear, and that the tear had been put back together with glue. I inspected the card upon receiving it and noticed this. The seller accepted my return, and I wondered what he would do with it. Seems as though he has taken the "grading company" route.

This card has been altered and is torn. I 100% vouch for that.

Here is the link to the card I purchased, pre-"grading".

I've bought from this seller a couple times, but won't again. He is very dishonest in his descriptions, and is consistent in this. His dishonesty is subtle, so that he can easily escape it.

Thanks for the heads up on this Nate. You very well might have saved a board member some heartburn. I guess there is a reason it's graded by KSA.....Any other good company and it would be AUT or at best a 1. Too bad you learned the hard way. Seems that is the way I usually learn too .

Not for nothing, but you have 3 v100's for sale on ebay that are obviously trimmed. Yet there is no mention of trimming in the listings.

It is not the first time i read plaint about capsort. I know this guy personally.

For ksa it is easy, if a card is graded 1 by psa or sgc, crack it send it to ksa and you will have a 4 lololol
I never buy ksa cards.
It is ridicule, à 2 for a Tear cards lol

This falls under the category for all new collectors:

IF the grading company is not SGC, PSA, Beckett or GAI. YOu can not trust the card in the holder or a seller that would sell the cards in the "others" holders.

I am one that has a problem expecting the seller to describe a graded card. If you have an issue with the grade take it up with the company, they are the ones that applied the grade, not the seller. (this is for the trusted 4, the rest your on your own).

I pay a little more for SGC cards with writing or stamps on the back because I think they grade them harshly and can get great looking cards with low technical grades from SGC.

I also have PSA cards on 5 holders that have creases that I now will never cross in to SGC holders at the same level. Why should I point out the fact it has a crease in it because it falls under the PSA criteria for an EX card and not mine (and most others). You as a buyer need to now the criteria the grading company has it's standards..

End of Rant,

Lee
