A fake Global Joe Jackson..Id say.
The guys are at it again. I don't have time to go thru all their stuff now, but the latest Roach's crapola auction features this RIGHT OFF THE BAT at number one..
Now, was Global reliable in the old days? Because, this looks bad to me, and as we always ask, if it was THAT GOOD/REAL. why would these crooks have it? They also have a first year Fake all star ball and an Ed Delehanty "cut", Horrible, and thats just on page one. Here is the link to Shoeless. http://www.myccsa.com/Lot/217/shoele...-baseball.aspx |

And of course, why in the world would someone affix a stick to the ball. I'm sure the owner of such a valuable possession would have sprang for the full LOA and skipped having the sticker affixed.

These guys are REALLY ridiculous . Check lots 892-957. How is it that THESE CLOWNS have some of the rarest HOF/Old time sigs around? Mickey Welch, John Ward, Mathewson, Joe Kelley, Anson, O Rourke, BOTH George and Harry Wright, Josh Gibson, EDDIE GAEDEL, Eddie Plank, Roger Connor and so many more. Not to mention Washington, Lincoln, Marilyn, Custer, etc.
Plus, so many are on these small pieces of "old looking " paper. I mean, can't someone do something? ITS REALLY OUT OF HAND |

Seriously, I may send an email to the FBI or Atty General in Pennsylvania or somewhere. Although I know not to buy their crap, many don't, and its a shame. This stuff and the way they operate is SO RIDICULOUS, its almost like they are making a mockery of things. How can you put a Bat like that (albeit a forgery) up for auction w NO PICTURE?
Really really needs to be stopped. |

my favorite is the signed Joe Louis Book-- I don't know how to post a link-- the book is signed on the title page and the photo has a small portion of the facing frontispiece showing that has a facsimile signature (which I would assume would be authentic) that looks nothing like auto they claim is real.-- i realize this sounds confusing but just do a search on the site for the book and you will see what i mean

Click here and scroll. This is the best way to enjoy looking at the CCSA auction by typing in Morales in the Search function. LOOK AT ALL OF THOSE SIGNED PIECES OF PAPER!
http://www.myccsa.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=morales Pieces of paper (all around the item #800 mark in this months fine auction), signed this month include: George Wright A.G Spalding Babe Ruth George Custer Amelia Earhart Christy Mathewson Joe Kelley George Washington Marilyn Monroe/ Joe DiMaggio Roger Connor Lou Gehrig Jimmie Foxx Eddie Plank Three Stooges Harry Houdini Ty Cobb Honus Wagner Sam Crawford Charles Comisky Johnny Evers Jimmy Collins Chief Bender Frank Baker Tony Lazzeri Christy Mathewson (yes, second one) Kid Nichols Miller Huggins Jackie Robinson Ed Walsh Chuck Klein Herry Heilmann Henry Chadwick Rube Foster Frank Chance Hugh Duffy Roderick Wallace Tired of typing.... They also seem to have a few signed softballs and mini-bats, including a nice 1925 Giants one with Mathewson. Yum!

Yeah, all that crap, but there is hope.
That 1925 Giants (inscribed as such. WOW) has MATHEWSON ON IT! He died in October 1925 and was very sick prior to passing, so there must have been a VERY short window for signing. SUPER RARE!!!! |

BTW - any chance this '68 Pirates ball might be real? It has a STAT cert but looks like it might be good, but others know better than me. They probably think it's good too - why else would they put a '68 Pirates ball as the #3 item in their auction?! http://www.myccsa.com/Lot/217/1968-p...ith-stars.aspx |

It's "real" in that it was signed back then, but it's a clubhouse ball and therefore valueless.
