Default The 1920 edition of "Name That Player"

As posted earlier under "September pick-ups", I purchased a group of original snapshots taken at the 1920 World Series in Cleveland. I would greatly appreciate your help in identifying the players and dignitaries.

First up, a couple of Indians shots (including the Dodgers batboy, I presume):

I'm going to say Steve O'Neill (catcher) on the right.

Jeff, based on some other images I've found on the web, I think you are correct...that appears to be Steve O'Neill. Thanks!

This next one looks to be first baseman Doc Johnston, based on a photo from Mark Stang's photo book on the Indians. My image is paired with Mark's; do you agree?

Nice photos Rick.

I have enjoyed viewing the ones you have posted already. I would like to see more though, if you have the time to post them.

Cleveland had some really good players on their team that year. Sewell, Speaker and Wood to mention a few. Can't forget Wambsganss either with his unassisted triple play.

Take Care,

Jantz

Can do.

I'm pretty sure that's Tris Speaker...any idea who is speaking to him? And that's Wilbert Robinson sitting on the bench, but who is standing next to him?

Any idea who the Indian in the left-hand photo is? I think that's Joe Sewell in the fuzzy shot on the right.

I think it's Steve O'Neill again.

The Library of Congress has some panorama shots of various deadball era Cleveland teams including the 1920 squad. The original is too large to post here. Here is a link to the full-size LOC image: http://memory.loc.gov/master/pnp/pan...0/6a29272u.tif Maybe it will be of some help.
