Default 1913 Voskamp's Player Survey

Posted By: Zach Rice

Hello all, I am gathering information on the 1913 F-Unc Voskamp’s set for a possible Old Cardboard article. I am posting this thread in regards to single card’s populations. From what I’ve seen and handled of the set, so far, I have seen some players show noticeably more frequently than others.

I know the issue is very difficult so I am not expecting results (to this survey) to be similar to Ted Z’s or Tim and Todd’s. So to all the collectors on this board who own an example from the set, please go check the player’s name(s) and post it in this thread or shoot me an email.

Here’s my list:

Camnitz
Ferry
Gibson
Hofman
Hyatt
Miller
Wilson

Hey Zach:

Congrats on the George Gibson pickup! Sounds like you had an awesome National.

Zach,

You can add another Gibson to the tally. Scan(s) available if needed.

Richard.

Hi Zach! We just got in a collection of nine different Voskamp's for the next auction. The players are: Wagner, Ferry, Miller, Camnitz, Carey, Hyatt, Hofman, Kelly, and Byrne. Most are in pretty rough condition. I would be happy to send you scans or high res images on a disc if this would be helpful.

Sincerely,

Robert Lifson

Rob -

Just send him the cards, it will save catalog space as Zach will win them anyway!

From my collection, you can add another Booe, Hyatt and Kelly. I also have an O'Toole, to verify its existence.

Zack,

The following is the list of Voscamp's that I used to have. they were vg to em with the Wagner em. I sold them about 8 years ago. Adams, Booe, Byrne, Carey, Conzeleman, Gibsom, Hendrix, Hofman, Hyatt, Kelly, Miller, O'Toole, Simon, Voix, Wagner & Wilson. When we talked at the national, I thought I had a complete set, but my recollection was faulty, I was missing 4 cards.

Hiya Zach;

Two more for your list:

-Joe Conzelman
-Mike Simon

Both pre-eBay from Mike Wheat, dealer from Pittsburgh. He used to sell these for $40-$50 from his old catalog. Presumably he found them locally.

Zach,

I only have Owen Wilson - as a type; which
I believe I bought from you a year or so ago.

Thanks everyone for the great information ! This will be my one and only bump for this thread as I don't want to bore others about Voskamp's.
