Default opinions on a couple Cabinet Cards

Posted By: fkw

Hi, I was hoping to get some opinions on 2 Cabinet Photos I have.

The first one shows an amature game in progress. I know photo isnt that clear. What Year (era) do you think it is from??

The second one shows 3 boys in uniform (Sackville, New Brunswick). Do you think they are baseball players?? and what year (era)?

Thanks for any info you can tell me.

Frank

I would say that both are pre-1900. The second one looks like a lobby poster for the Clockwork Orange.

The top is from 1890s, or possibly very late 1880s. The bottom is 1880s-90s, most probably 1880s.

If I had to guess sport for the bottom one, I'd say cricket since they uniforms seem more aking to cricket than baseball from that era.

The bottom photo could be many things and may be impossible to identify with the lack of any equipment in the photo....the guy on the left appears to be wearing a lace-up shirt/jersey which is similar to what football players from the era wore.
