Nice mantles! Not sure if the Wagner question is satire. But It's faker than a $3 bill. Not even close

There was about 30 other Mantles, but I didn't get a picture of those. Knew the Wags was no good.

Wagner seems to be blushing for his fakeness.

Waiting for more info on this one, those bottom two 52’s were both just in the May 11th Heritage auction. The 51’ was in the April PWCC premier.

Any reason for all the new additions?

To me, it looks like some photo shopped pictures. Slabs seem to be different sizes. Why would a collector with Mantles that are valued well into 6 figures have PSA 4 Ripkens and PSA 3 Maris cards that are $20-30 cards?

It’s looks like someone has a show setup and threw these cards up on top to take pictures. That’s what I’m thinking. Lots of reasons those cards could be on the bottom. Why does everything have to be suspicious or sinister?

I mean I would think attaching a blatantly fake Wagner would make any reasonable person be suspicious of what is going on. It would take quite a fool to take this presentation at face value.

Because the wobbly black background and seemingly edit lines around those cards are very tell-tale signs of photoshop editing. The left side particularly and the upper right corner of the top left Mantle looks to have a sharp edit cut poking into the Gwynn. Also as pointed out, there is a possible 2 million dollar hoard of Mantles sitting on a lineup of slabs that might get 10-20 dollars each on a good day. This would not be at the same table at a show, these background slabs would be in a discount box to flip through.

I believe no-one is suspect of Rich, I know I am not. We are being protective of him just in case this person is misrepresenting.

Years ago I was excited by a possible purchase and posted about it. There were some issues with the situation I missed. The replies saved me a costly mistake on a badly identified TPG grading error. It's all meant in caring to help others.

We could all be morons and Rich has held all these cards or the collector is on a really impressive Mantle buying spree this year and all is well. I still would be remiss if I didn't protect a long-time board member with a little extra caution.

I hope you take this as presented in a good way Rich, I know we have had good chats my friend.

When I took the picture, there was no where to put the cards except on top of other cards. He had about 200 slabs on a large table. I'm gonna ask him to take another picture of just the Mantles.

Probably, I can't tell if this is one of those 'posting a private joke publicly ha ha people don't get it' shitposts or if it's a different kind of shitpost.
