Default Authenticity Assessment

Hello I'm new to this forum - referred from the Collectors Universe forum. I'm a "intermediate" level baseball card person with a small collection mostly from 70s and 80s. Some friends learned that I liked cards and showed me about 15 cards they've had for years and knew nothing about. They asked me to look into them. I've since done some homework and have been opened up to the world of T206s (they have 2). E98s (they have 8), and E90s (they have 3). It's incredibly fascinating and I had no idea that so many cards and variations exist.

Anyhow, before I report back to them with my findings the main issue is "are these cards real". I think they are, but I'd appreciate it if any of you experts can take a look at a few flatbed scans and let me know what you think. If they might be real, I'll encourage them to have several of them graded.

They both look real. The E90-1 Tannehill would probably grade Authentic instead of a numerical grade.

Based on the scans, both look authentic to me.

I am in no way an expert, but they look good to me.

Looks authentic, I'm not aware of any mass produced E98 knock offs and I don't think they would be knocking off a Bridwell but you never know. A good sign is the ink color on the back, that is spot on. A knock off would have black ink more than likely. Do you have scans of the other E98's?

Your friends have tobacco cards laying around? All my friends ever had were old worn copies of Playboy.

Default Thank you

Thank you all very much for your assessment. It gave me the confidence to have a few of the cards (not pictured in this thread) graded on site at the national card show here in Chicago this weekend and both came back as authentic. You are all very kind with your time.

Ha. Sorry. I'm new to this board and I don't know what the protocols are. I didn't want to annoy the group or make a faux pas. But since you asked, here are the card...

Good stuff. Secretly, I was hoping that they'd be in SGC slabs, but they look appropriately graded. Thanks for posting!
