Default High grade 52 Topps Ed Mathews

This is my favorite card, and I haven't often seen it offered for sale in this grade. I was so excited I had to post it.

It is the highest card on my want list but at this point acquiring one seems like a lost cause.

That's a very healthy price, imo, for that one, but I haven't been following along lately so who knows?

It's a beautiful card but I can't help but think at that price point, you'd be better off buying something else. Then again if you have 175K to drop on a single card, I doubt money is much of an issue from stopping you to collect anything

If you have a nice top hat to throw into the deal Levi might come down some on price

Yeah, I noticed the price is over $100,000 more than any other PSA 8 in their database. I showed this to my wife because my birthday is coming up....but she didn't seem to think it was a good idea.

It is among my favorites as well...always has been. Find a really nice centered one in the 4-5 range and count on dropping about 7k on it...but don't wait. Try to find one crease-less, of course.
Typically when someone buys THAT card--it's not coming back anytime soon. I have it on my watchlist for years now and it MAY be the single most difficult post-war star card (or any card) there is.

Also...I am always amazed that a person can offer a card for 175k (or 1k, 2k, etc) and not provide a better scan. All of Levi's cards look like shit--including that Mathews. We all assume it's very nice--and it probably is--but guessing at $175 is kinda rough, let alone 175k Lol...
You'd THINK a guy could figure that out or hire someone to adjust the screening, input sliders...something. I see a direct correlation between strong prices and activity and well-presented images.

VERY nice looking Mathews in an SGC 4 holder up right now. Priced right, too.

There are a couple of very nice looking SGC 4s and a PSA 4 that looks very nice. Plus you save about $170,000 over the 8!
