One thing about this set to consider is that some of the "tough" cards can be deceiving. You do see a handful of tough cards for sale on occasion because people are constantly starting/stopping the pursuit of the set.
If you give up on a set, you may be able to break even quickly by liquidating the tougher cards like Upp/Mitchell/Sweeney or the aforementioned Overall. 9 of a card at any given time doesn't seem too populous. Sometimes that number might dip to 2. And let's give this thread some credit for creating demand which may bring out both sellers and buyers :-)

Overall is a fringe 3 point card that mainly got in due to its past reputation as a tough card. Believe it or not I came up with the list without using 3rd party grading pop reports, but just off my observation, and suggestions of the Net54 community. If I were to redo list with a 2 point category, which at this point I am not going to do as it would cause too much disruption and would make it unwieldly for folks to keep track, I would put it in that grouping, as it definitely a card that is tougher to come by than the commons in the set.
Perhaps I will post a theoretical 2 point group at some point for the heck of it. Brian Last edited by brianp-beme; 03-01-2020 at 12:10 PM. |

Thanks, Brian. I didn't know the history of the card.

Just got this little gem. It is a Lobert with three printers marks. Left side and tip are faint but right side is beautiful!
