Default Mays

Won this in last night's Love of the Game auction. I already had a 51 Bowman and a 52 Berk Ross, but the 52 Topps had eluded me. I was surprised it went as low as it did considering the market of late.

This is on the way to me.

Charlie,
I used to know Sandy Adelman years ago at NYC shows.
Funny seeing his name again.

What a coincidence
Was he a collector or dealer?

I remember seeing the ads for the show and what made me pull the trigger was that this one was less than half what it cost at the show. Although I would have enjoyed very much meeting these guys even for a moment. Mr Feller was always a real gentleman. Back in the day ( I was 15 or 16) I bought a batch of 30's cards and there were 5 or 6, 1938 Goudey Fellers and I had him sign one at a show and he had me come around the table and spent about 10 minutes taking baseball with me, the no-no vs the Yankees came up etc. Very Nice man.

Default Space fest!

I did pretty well at Spacefest this year. All the thousands of card shows Ive been to and athletes Ive met, all paled in comparison to standing next to someone who walked on the moon.It was pricey but they all were super nice and fun to talk to
