Hi Ya'll

Been trolling for awhile on this site. Just wanted to give a quick intro
and I'll be on my way.

My Uncle gave me a bunch of cards when I was a kid. I kept them in a metal box and looked at them every once in awhile. Mostly had 52 and 53 Topps and later years. No I didn't have any of the biggie cards.

When I got older the family business went kapoot and I had to go back to school so I ended up selling all my cards and comics on Ebay to help make ends meet. This is when I really fell in love with collecting cards. The rest is history.

I'm not a high roller and I basically am interested in:

T205 Minors PSA 6+

T205 Common HOFers PSA 6

T205 "Biggie" HOFers and Variation cards PSA 4 or 5

I need them centered. I have an OCD ha ha. Otherwise I will
continually look for a better card.

Just started getting interested in Caramel cards
esp Nadja E92s PSA or SGC. Seems like most of the good Caramel
cards are graded by SGC? I might become interested in other
Caramel cards I'm still getting a feel for them.

Thanks for all the info on this group I have really learned alot here.
Dang I wish I had more $$$........I tend to drool at some of the cards I see.

I'm hooked on this hobby!!!

Pleased to meet you Bill.

T205 is a nice set. I tend to think that it's under appreciated, relative to its big brother. Sure it doesn't have a $2m Wagner card, but that's not really a relevant consideration for most of us anyway.

My first real experience with high end vintage was a T205 Johnson in a 7 holder. It was a great card...Beautiful set and one that I actually want to own a card from again, a Cobby. But it has to be the right one at the right price.
The hunt is a ton of fun...

Welcome to a great experience, Bill.

FYI - You misspelled 'Y'all'

Are you living in Los Angeles and trying to appear Southern for possible film roles or did you just mistype?

Welcome to what is a cross between a Baseball Card Think Tank and your neighborhood bar..

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

I'll scan some cards that I just bought in the May
Blog soon. I'd rather have them in hand and
Scan rather than off the the site page. Nothing
Exotic just some basic Nice graded T205's.

After seeing some of the scans on here of old
E card HOFFERs ...... T205's seem boring. Unless
It's a Cobby of course. I'm starting to get interested In back
Collecting too and am appreciating low graded tough
Cards like the E107's etc. I've totally lost interest in
Postwar hi grade rookies and big names etc after
Hearing about all the big money pouring into them
as well as possible counterfeits. Don't think any one is
Going to pop open a slab to exchange a E92 mid
Grade Hoffer to knock it up a grade. Less interest in these
cards means harder to sell less investment potential.
But to me funner to collect and to keep and look at

Happy Sunday

Bill, you just said the magic words! Good luck in your new, pre-War collecting focus
