Default Ugliest T206 image

The other discussion got me thinking, what is the ugliest T206 image. Sometimes I see one, and I get myself thinking W...T...F...

I'm sure there are plenty more, but here goes:

Cy Young glove showing (David Wells reincarnation of Cy)

Egan (too bad braces weren't around)

Shaughnessy (Mozart relative?)

Molesworth (I just don't know)

Cravath with bat (he's the bastard who started the hat tilt wear it to the side look, has great colors though)

Shannon (was his head that big? First steroid user? Bonds inspiration?)

Dunn (either verticle or horizontal, what the hell is he doing!?)

Hulswitt (inspired Manny Ramirez to wear a "pajama" uni)

Evers portrait (what is up with his jaw, did Cobb punch him?)

Burns (just looks to geeked)

Definitely agree with Shannon being the worst, just horrible.

Others I think are crudely drawn are Hannifan, Burchell, Kisinger and what's up with McCormick and Puttman popping in from the side?

I'll go with Molesworth. Just a dumpy looking guy, plus the name Carlton Molesworth makes him sounds like he could be a butler or footman on Downton Abbey.

Few can match this one. It could be used as evidence that aliens arrived on our planet in the early 20th century and managed to get pretty good at baseball:

Some of the poses seem to be rendered by an artist with no baseball acumen whatsoever. Either that or the players were goofing around while posing. I believe John Cleese might have been inspired to create the Monty Python "Minister of Silly Walks " sketch from SOME of the artwork. Quirky, indeed, but they still ain't Don Mossi "ugly"

Speaking of artwork, I type this without doing a search but, do we know who the artists were that did the T206 run?

I have always liked that card, Leon. I enjoy the color of the Chicago uniform, with the nice background. I'm surprised many do not care for the Purtell card.

I agree, Egan is the worst. Shannon is also bad, he looks like Jay Leno.I think that Cy Young glove shows looks strange. I think it's the glove that looks weird.
I really don't get why no one likes the Johhny Evers cards.

Definitely this Evers card.
Actually ..... since I plan on displaying my set in numerous cases hanging on my walls I'm probably going to buy this card with a rare back so I can turn it around in the case.

Default Molesworth............

Give Molesworth a break...........he's just a bit chunky. I always thought Bill Burns looked like the kid who would be the last one chosen on a playground team, especially with his glove on the wrong hand. (He did later have an intergral role in the Black Sox scandal, though). But........Egan is hard to beat.

I like the Evers cards, I think they did a good job nailing the way he really looked. Same with Shag.

But, I have to agree with those who picked Shannon & Burns I'm not too fond of the Bud Sharpe card. The funny thing is I have all three I even like ugly T206's I guess

Sincerely, Clayton

I am with y'all on Shannon and Egan.

I have also long thought that the Moran card is proof that there was nepotism at American Lithographic because this image must have been made by the boss's 12-year-old kid.

Such a great thread. This is why I'm hot/cold on the set. I only have ones I think are beautiful (walsh, killian ports etc). I couldn't bring myself to have to buy all these subpar artistic horrorshows. Ugliest in my view are shannon and purtell. I'm no doctor but those cards look anatomically questionable.
