Default OT: A wee bit of help ~ Please

Good day Gentleman,

I mostly read over on this side, so I'd like to 1st say, Thank You All for letting me tune in every now & then for the enjoyment that one gets from listening to those with something worthy of saying about a Game so Full of History!

So, "Thank You", All of You!

So, to my Request...

I'd like to purchase a MLB Baseball from the 1985 Season.
So, it would be of great help if I knew what it actually looked like & what it said on it! So when I did get it, I could say... "Yep, Thats the one!"

Note: Crazy part... I want to send it to one of the MLB teams for a possible Auto from a retired player. Sorta old school :-)

"Thanks iN Advance... Much Apprectiated"

As Always...

Denny, here is a picture of the baseballs used in 1985. You should have the player sign the ball of the league he played in.

I found this, if he played in it.

http://www.amazon.com/Rawlings-1985-.../dp/B007Q13DSW

What league was the player playing in? AL or NL.

If it was AL, look for an AL ball with the Commissioners name, likewise for NL.

For instance, lets imagine it was Wright in either league.

Ebay "Wright baseball", or "Wright Rawlings Baseball".

You can search for the overall commissioner too, say "Selig Baseball" too.

Just make sure they used the ASG ball, and that the guy played in it.

Denny, these picture are out of my book History of the Base Ball...It's a chronological guide to all AL & NL baseballs. These two are correct, I promise.
