I think it's cool.
Growing up we called things like that 'well loved'.

Here is the E90-1 Cy Young that Denny is referring...the 'B' and 'A' is missing from his uniform, and someone wrote Cleveland over it. Is it possible that they could have removed all the red ink from his uniform? it seems like there has been erasures on his uniform, but to totally remove the BA without a trace?

Interesting card no matter what!

That cool ghostly Brown reminds me of this 'E94' Mcgraw shadow card I have. Your Brown is the real thing, while I am pretty positive the McGraw is some sort of an aftermarket production, but still interesting. The legit E94 Mcgraw shown is from the web.

Bri... Mordecai (i can never spell his name right or is it write?)

"Was Lifted" ~ Yep! mindboggling !?!?!

Thats why in hand, wit a 10x ... and the Truth is Revealed !

The craftsmanship on Mr Mordecai is/was a tedious nightmare...

Denny are you saying that the E93 Mordecai (there, I spelled it) Brown is an original card that has been altered (perhaps bleached?) to create its current look?
