Default 1913 Baseball cards

Posted By: Richard

I have some baseball cards that i guess are from 1913 or at least they say Pat. March 25 1913. No. 1,056,770, All foreign rights reserved. i have 5 of them. They all say Batter in the top left hand corner. One is a guy named Wagner Pitts and the other is Stahl of the Boston Red Socks. I found them in my grandfathers attic and i was wondering first if they were real and second if they were worth any money. They are pretty beatup but i thought they might be something because of their possible age

A scan of teh cards would be a huge help. With the scant info, no set really comes to mind.

Sounds as if they are from the '1913 National Game' set, which was a deck of cards for a baseball card game.

would probably clear things up (the suspicion, in which I concur, is that they are from the "National Game" or one of the other "game" sets from that year--all have distinctive backs).
