Frank,

Cool lawn mower. Nice beach. Are you on the Big Island?

Yes Big Island, Puna district. Many free spirits living here along with the occasional FBI fugitive, and Im sure a few in the witness protection program too. There are kids running around Kehena beach all day. Its really the only beach we have on this side of the island, seriously.

Enough about Hawaii, sorry to take this thread away from the cigarette card pack topic, but it looked like it was fizzing out anyways.

Aloha

Those black sand beaches are pretty nice. You can really sink your feet in that stuff. My wife is 1/4 Hawaiian, she still freaks out if I tell her I'm going to take some lava home with us...

Oh yeah - hey Storepincher, what Leon said...

I am curious on how baseaball cards ended in tobacco packs. Who were the first ones to use them as a way of advertisement? I know for a fact that they originaly used cardboard to keep the cigarettes from getting damaged. Thanks in advance.

The cardboard was originally in the package to help protect the cigarettes. And they figured why not put advertising on them and the collecting cards evolved from there.

PS, why would a 14 year old be worried about sharing an email address?????????

if you are going to play with the big boys, play by big boy rules.

As far as I am concerned you are anonymous and should be barred from participating on this board.

While I hate to stiffle your apparent interest in vintage cards maybe you should wait until you're old enough and out from under the wings of your overly-protective parents.

A couple doesn't want their fourteen year old son to give his e-mail address to grown men they don't know. How is that over-protective?

Perhaps the parents could talk to Leon and then decide if they feel comfortable w/revealing their sons address.

You are absolutely correct. I understand parents not wanting their kids to give out their emails. I don't want my 11 yr old to either. But when the moderator of the chat board you are posting on asks you to do it, and it is in the forum rules that you must, then you either abide by the rules or you don't post anymore. This isn't personal but it does help keep the integrity of the board. I speak from experience.... best regards

edited to add that I would be more than happy to speak with any parents of children on this board, or email with them.....Again, this is for the protection of the board...

Shoppincher I'd just show this thread to your folks. I would think after they see this it wouldn't be a big deal to email the moderator.

1. It does not matter how old you are to collect.

2. My parents are looking out for me.

3. Sorry I can't respond.

Shoppincher, then if your parents are looking out for you to that extent I would say enjoy reading the board as you soon won't be posting

IF you can't have you or your parents email me then don't post on this board anymore. .....BTW, I do agree with you but the rules are the rules and they are there for a reason....You may read the board but please don't post anymore. You might ask your parents about this and see if they will help you. If they won't then maybe there is another issue?......or maybe you are another troll invading us? How are we to know? thanks again

Was curious on how/why a 14 year old can collect Drum back T205's. I wish I could have afforded them when I was 14.

if you are 14, good to see you get into vintage so early. Its just unusual.

You have similar tastes to another 14 year old we had on here a while back (I think he is banned now??), He also like the Peck and Snyder cards too

Hi Frank,
I'm glad you moved to Hawaii.... as it gives you a lot more time to post. How has it impacted your EBay mining for UNC cards?

Be well Brian

Hi Brian,

$$ is tight. Not alot of work here and gas is $3.60+ a gallon, bread is $5+ a loaf, but its also 80 degrees today at the beach. Im looking to buy 3 acres of jungle with a cabin for a whopping $60K.

PS. Just picked up a free lawnmower (pictured below)

beach a couple days ago, some forget to bring suits

Hi Frank,
Great pictures, but could you focus in on the topless 20 year olds instead of the Ole gals.... Nice mower, but it's a goat instead of a Derre... who needs to mow there anyway??? Who needs gas and bread, USPS picks up, and I'm pretty sure you can get fiber from Beer, but it is tough to make sandwiches with. I guess good weather all the time does cost more...

Be well Brian

PS You should make Photography your business and crash a few weddings in the process... Keep the pics coming.

PS 2 Good luck on the property....

Hi Zinn,
If he's for real.... he may have Moxie, but I don't know of any teenage boy that would pass up semi-nude pictures of girls....

Be well Brian

PS If he really is 14 and joining the board, then I will send him a nice graded T206 as a welcome present... But this isn't a place for kids....
