Ted - that's a nice looking T3 Doolan card you have, but you're a little early with it. In this thread, we've been posting cards from the T3 set in order each day, and today is up to #49 A Close Play At Second. Please contribute any others that you may have on the day they come up.

Hey Jayshum

Please explain to me why.....when Jay Wolt posted his T3 card of Doolan (back in Post #143), you did not "correct" him as you just did me for posting my Doolan cards ? ?

As is very obvious, the back of my Doolan has the Non-Checklist Turkey Red Cigarettes advertisement variation. Therefore, I don't know what number this card is.

Furthermore, since NONE of the T3's that have been posted on you thread (so far) display this tougher back variation, I thought it would be informative to show it.
And, perhaps some T3 expert on this forum will chime in here regarding this variation.

Hi Ted - in looking back at the post from Jay Wolt that you referenced, someone had asked if there could be a post showing the size of T3s relative to standard cards so that was why Jay posted his Doolan at the time (along with a few others who did the same with other T3s and T9s). You're right that no one has posted the advertising back like you did because that is only on cards starting from #77 up which we just got to today.

The idea for this thread was to post the T3s in order, one each day, and for the most part, that has been happening. I have posted the same friendly message to a few others that I did to you to let them know what we were trying to do (in case they hadn't read through the entire thread from the start) with the hope that we could keep the cards posted in order as best as possible.

Default T3's

Thanks for the explanation, Jay.

It's been many years since I have collected T3's, and I had forgotten that only the Hi # group was printed with the TURKEY RED Cigarettes variation.

I don't remember seeing this on the thread, so here is the checklist showing the final 50 baseball subjects that we can expect to see in the following seven weeks.

Brian (card back not mine, nor is the card front mine. I only have ownership of the layers of blank cardboard in between.)

Baker (although I think the consensus is that this actually pictures Jack Barry).

Baker….we skipped the boxers? Will post mine…I am a completist and needed those missing numbers for the set. They are great looking, too.

I was only interested in the baseball players from the set so I don't have any of the boxers.

I did realize the boxers were skipped but when I saw Ames posted, I figured Baker came next. It's not my thread to make the rules for, but I would say that boxers can be posted as a group (like Paul did). Otherwise it would have been 25 days of boxers with many days probably not having any.

I guess most of the collectors of T3's are briefs men, and thus have no boxers to share.

Yes, resist the Dark side!

Here is Bell, I just picked this card up a couple of weeks ago in the LOTG auction.

and hopefully no one will mind too much if I post my #44. I just got it yesterday, a rare (for my collection) Ebay T3 pickup. It was in an SGC 1.5 holder. Other than the holes it's a nice looking card.

Default T3 Turkey Reds

I was away from Wi-Fi for a while and so - Out of order, but better later than never and I wanted to complete the run.

Great Turkey Reds guys. A special and unique card for special and unique collectors. You know who you are.

I collected the T3s around fifteen years ago. You sold me lots of them, Jay. Took me a long time to find a Bransfield. It's a great looking card.
