Default Prewar collectors... need help with Louis Graff, 1890 Syracuse Stars

Hi all,

Just a shot in the dark but I am looking for any photos, cards, autographs or tickets, that relate to the career of Louis Graff on the 1890 Syracuse Stars or from any other time in his life. Here's a little info about him:

Louis Graff

Born: July 25, 1866
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Died: April 16, 1955 (aged 88)
Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania

Nickname: "Chappie"

Position: Catcher

Team: 1890 Syracuse Stars

Stats: One game, 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 3 RBI

Now I am intrigued. How did you stumble upon this fellow? I'm sure he'd be tickled pink complete strangers were discussing him 65 years after his passing.

Well, Graff is a family name down the line. A while back I did some light research into MLB ball players with different names as they relate to my family including the name Graff and to my knowledge Louis here is the first Graff to appear in a professional baseball game. Whenever I come across someone interesting with a family name, although I’ll most likely never know if we could truly be related or not I enjoy knowing that they’ve done something interesting while carrying that name and it makes me proud.
