Why do you collect championship rings?

In another post in the Championship Ring section, Leon, said:

It doesn't take up as much rooms as many other collectibles

I was going to reply in that forum "that is why I started collecting a couple of championship rings and then really fell in love with them and they became the main focus of my collecting."

I realized the question of why others collect championship rings is a fascinating topic and deserves it's own thread.

I'd love to hear why others collect championship rings - whether it's the pro rings, college, salesman samples or replicas.
