Rip cards started with the 2006 Allen & Ginter cards . They are a card inside the "Rip"card. They are usually a special like autographed mini , high number or something limited . They have continued with each year in Allen& Ginter packs . In 2006 they had several different levels # out /99, 25, 15, all they way to just 10 . It was the owners choice to decide to rip it to get the card inside or leave it unripped . I was lucky enough to pull two from the first year and also picked up a promo as well. Hope this helps ,Brett
