Default a strange comp I received today

Posted By: Al

I received a comp for 2 tix to see Jerry Lewis at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi on April 18th. What struck me as "strange" was that it states "no one under 21". Having just seen Lewis at the Oscars, it looked like he was not well, what on earth could he provide for entertainment value in his condition? is his show restricted because it might resemble an Andrew Dice Clay performance, and if so, why would he do such a show? I don't plan to go, just thought it odd that he is performing. Biloxi is a long way from LA.

What was even stranger was the non-comp folks have to pony up $74.95 to see him. Anyone ever seen his show?

I have no idea what the answer is. I have never seen him but maybe they were afraid to admit minors bc he might attempt to marry one of them. He's done it bf.

I think it is Jerry Lewis the Comedian, not Jerry Lee Lewis who did marry a 15 year old at one time.

Actually his bride was only 13 years old, not only underage but his second cousin. Destroyed a red hot career.

It's Jerry Lewis as in Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, the flyer has his pic. I just thought it odd that he was touring and the caveat about no one under 21. It has to be the content of his performance and little to do with drinking. He was given a special award at the Oscars and to me looked kinda "ill".

"Destroyed a red hot career."

I don't know--I think that shoplifting at Sack's Fifth Avenue played a stronger part in destroying Winona's career.

Jerry Lewis will always be one of my favorite comedians. Remember watching him as a kid in the 1970's.

He has suffered with Pulmonary Fibrosis(leading him to use steroids that caused huge weight gain at one time), Prostate Cancer, and coronary artery disease. His health is poor.

I wouldn't mind seeing him. If you can, probably would be a good show.

Frank L.

Seems to me that if it was content-driven, then 18 would be the age of admittance. Since the age limit is 21, it's got to be due to state liquor laws and the fact that the show's being held at a casino.
