I know that I am branching off into another direction...
but I loved the card when I saw it.....
and now - the collection is going to have to include vintage golf

(if anyone wants to talk vintage golf / email me... any info on where to buy, what to look for, etc. would be great).

Steve Great card. Is it dated? Wonder if it's the same car he DUI'ed off a bridge in 1911, busting his leg, arm and skull.

Jennings, "Life is full of trials... Which is a good thing for lawyers."

The Brush series is dated 1910 though the Jennings card is postally unused. I have the postcard at home that I got from Norm Brauer with the 1911 accident with the Jenning's car upside down in the creek.

This issue with my post comment (I think ) and with Mikes is that we got notifications that we had won and then notifications to disregard the prior notification.

They have it straightened out now (I think ) and I DID win the Brush Jennings. Hope Mike won as well.

Thanks Trae! (your site is looking great...)

Steve is correct, as you know they were having problems with their server, yesterday i was informed that i won almost every lot i was bidding on (some T206s & ALL of the N28's)...

now that everything is straigtened-out, looks like i just won the Lundgren, which i am very happy about...i now have all of the tuffer T206 team variations in higher (relatively speaking) PSA grades.

Best-
MS

I hate to take this off topic, but when Jennings crashed his car were there any laws againt driving drunk? When did those laws first hit the books?

This card completes the group of 4 - Cobb's for my all-SOVEREIGN set.

Less than 40 cards to go to complete this T206 "subset".....the Stars I still need are....

CYoung (glove)
CYoung (no glove)
Lajoie (bat)
Elberfeld (port-Washington

Thanks for the kind words.

I bought it solely because of the Cleveland connection. When I saw that all the others he had were sold within a few hours, I figured I did at least OK.

Steve, terrific Red Cross.

Yet, another beater. Picking this up tomorrow. Talking to the seller, he lives just a couple of minutes from my childhood home.

I just received this B18 today. It has color that really pops.

My original one is now available, and it will be on the B/S/T thread in a few minutes.

I don't think you understand. Joe released the card from its tomb voluntarily.

Or then, maybe you just forgot the smiley face.

Well my collection has stabilized at the T206 minors and anything pre 1920 football (soccer for us Americans). I'm still a bit baffled at the grades for these, clean backs and sharp corners...at least a 5.5. They were nice enough to at least grade them for me, and they oh so nice in the holders And Joe nice clean break!

Lajoie, Clarke and McGraw courtesy of Goodwin Auctions.

My first Fan Craze. Always wanted one. Just wish I knew how to pronounce Lajoie .

Wish all my cards were as clean as this Clarke.

Maybe Muggsy was catching BP?

T3s via B/S/T win-win trade

Walsh: Sucker won 40 games in 1908.
McIntyre: A gift from the guys in the white coats down at the PSA lab ("very minor rounding of the corners is becoming evident")

Bell: couple widdlebiddy pinholes. Yo quiero Taco Bell.

Adam, That piece is fantastic. Would bring in a nice price up here. Our new gubnuh Daval is redecorating his office and just sold his Coupe DeVille. He should have some big dough kickin about.

Thanks Steve. These come up on Ebay from time to time, although most usually date from the '20's or '30's. I snagged this one because it was early and also for the Coolidge factor. Actually I think it was a steal, compared to what it could go for. Had it been a baseball one, like the the 1903 American League Horner pic that Halper had, I'd really be clicking my heels.
