It's a new month, so it's time to do it all over again. Please review the other recent B/S/T threads: I don't want to discourage anyone from posting, but this thread gets longer each month - if you're looking for or selling the same items, you might refer people to your previous post(s).

All transactions must be done at your own risk, so caveat emptor. Posters in this thread are not screened by the moderator or by anyone else; do your own research before completing any transaction, including asking for references if you don't know the person you're dealing with.

Please include your email address when you post and respond to others through that means, not in the thread. Thanks.

Now that I have a some cash again, it's time to start chasing the player set again. I am looking to aquire one card of every player that appeared on a card from 1905-1945.

I still need a lot of cards. I am mainly looking to buy lots of low grade cards from any pre-ww2 set. The only condition requirement is no heavy crease or paper loss on the face. Otherwise, I could care less if parts of the card are missing, torn, etc.

Jay

Hello,

I'm looking for the following cards to complete my set: 28, 42, 54, 58, 62, 67, 73, 88, 91, and 94 in EX or better. I have a partial set of 50 up on eBay at the moment with a reasonable reserve, so if you're looking to get a good chunk of this tough set in one place, check it out.

Thanks,
Geoff

N162: Andrews and Glasscock.
M101-1: George Davis--or is that a joke (I mean, like--only one exists, or something?)
Tobin lithograph: the HOFer I don't have (NOT Keefe, Kelly, Brouthers or Anson!)--the OTHER one!

Thank you!

I have a list of the poses I need but it is pretty extensive. Trust me when I say it would be easier for you to send a list of what you have. If you have a list of players even that would help as I can tell you which poses for that particular player I need. Thanks for the response.

Best--Jay

Along with my continuing want for early and unusual baseball fiction and non-fiction, please let me know if you have any baseball cards or ephemera involving Western Canadian baseball teams, particularly items from the Western Canada League (Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Regina c. 1907 to 1921 http://www.ballparkwatch.com/leagues/western_canada_league.htm ). Obaks, photos, programs, whatever you have. email to weder@shaw.ca

Thanks, Max

Scrapps Sam Thompson (about GVG but has the moustache tip) $500

Buchner John Ward (blank Backed, probably from ad sheet) about VGEX $450

About 25 Walter Mails cards in extremely nice shape, the nicest I have ever seen and with the rarer (in my opinion) blue backs. Extremely rare California based set. Prices range from $85-$300 depending on player and condition. Most are around $100 and very nice.

Walter Mails box and instructions in great shape, very rare display piece from a regional California game $275.

I cant think of anything else right now.

BUYING

Always looking for ANYTHING from the PCL with Roy Castleton on it. He is the guy second from the right on the forum background page from Leon's Western Playground cards. He has Obak's, Zeenuts etc, and I want them all in any condition!

I always buy other stuff too but that is all I can think of right now.

Once again before the Big show I am offering long wave Fluorescent pocket lamps(with built in flash light). These are excellent for detecting air brushing (in or outside the slab~) and/or corner restoration and crease pressing or corner rebuilding.

and 3 & 1/2 inch "lighted" plastic loupes much like the ones the optometrist uses when he examines your eyes. These loupes are excellent for viewing corners with the light and seeing trimmed and or abraded edges. The lenses are corrected for curvature like jewelers loupes costing $35-60 and allow a real view enlarged to 10x for easy viewing of flaws, print spots and pressed out creases. many of you have purchased one or both of these items from me before. Of over 75 of each sold,I had one return!

The lights fit easily in your short pocket so you can carry it around the National. The loupes are half the size and square to hold one "A" cell battery. They are durable and should last a long time if you care for them as you would your cards!

Loupes are $12.00 each postpaid!

Fluorescent long wave black lights are $15.00 each postpaid!

I can be Paypaled @ Lomismo@earthlink.net and they will on their way to you within 36 hours!

$27.00 for both . There is no break due to careful packaging. Thanks much. Happy Collecting at The National.

Thanks to Julie's advice and an opportune Ebay pick up last month I now need only a

Pud Galvin card (lower grade preferred...OJ, WG1 or ER Williams are all OK)

Will pay cash or I do have a fairly nice 1963 Pete Rose rookie stars as partial trade bait.

Please email me @ paulmisuck@hotmail.com

These T207s are available. I'd like to trade them for T201, T210-2, T211, T212, T213-2 or any E -- especially any of the 40 T213-2s I need! Scans are available for all cards. MBD=mild back damage, typically a small paperloss spot. BD=back damage, more severe back damage. WOB=writing on back - typically minor.
Thanks,
Andy

For a change of pace, try picking up some of the wonderful baseball books on ebay I have listed. From the quintessential pre-war book, "The Glory of Their Times" to "The Iowa Baseball Confederacy" by W.P. Kinsella who wrote Shoeless Joe (Field of Dreams) and it's a 1st edition to boot, to darn good reads like Veracruz Blues to Shoeless Joe and Ragtime Baseball (find out what REALLY happened in 1919). I'll also be listing a complete run of Chip Hilton and Bronc Burnett books in the regular book section on ebay if you want to revisit your youth
