Okay, here are two sigs I got in the same manner -- sent off with an SASE to the player c/o the stadium. (the Aaron broke my heart in the other thread).

Kaline looks good to me, but one thing I've learned since joining this board is that I have much to learn. But Kaline was a very good TTM signer at least into the early 90's. I believe he still signs TTM but requests a small donation now.

Hi Paul,

I have 5 different autographed items of Ernie most of which were obtained in person and your auto looks like a mix between several of them. Also the inscription one word was typical of more recent Banks signatures. I think your Banks is authentic based on my autographed and knowing Ernie's inscriptions. Hope this helps.

If I am not mistaken, Banks used a rubber stamp at one point. I don't have an example in my files, but you may want to further explore that possibility.

Kaline looks ok.

Kaline looks good. Never seen a B in Banks like that. A stamp wouldn't be out of the question as Steve said.

Thanks guys. Seems like I am batting .333 (1.5 for 3). Not bad, for the cheap price of the cards in those days and first class stamps.
