Default Rob Roy Albums

I'm looking for a couple of nicer albums for my tobacco cards and stumbled across these from a dealer/company called Rob Roy in England. Does anyone use these binders? They look nice on screen, but wondering if anyone has seen them in person. The slipcase feature looks great.

I ran a search on here but nothing came back.

Thanks, Luke - if I can ask, do you remember where you got yours? I'd like to find them locally if I can since I imagine the shipping would be cheaper.

I wasn't able to find any U.S. based company that sells them. The company I got mine from doesn't ship overseas (located in England). Another member found them here:

I believe the Nostalgia albums (I have one) came from Murry's Cards, England. Did a search for them a while ago, and couldn't find them.

The Rob Roy ones look as nice, if not nicer, and the prices are reasonable.

The story I got when I tracked down mine was that Murray Cards stopped selling them, and Colin Narbeth and Sons took over from them as a seller. They have a shop in London, but they won't ship out of the country.

Thanks, guys - I appreciate it. I'll look at those and compare vs. the Rob Roy ones. Agree, Scott - from what I can see of the Rob Roy ones, the prices are reasonable and they look nice.

Ditto the Murray/Narbeth story......I bought Nostalgia albums from Murraycards 3-4 different times. They are a bear to have shipped. When you buy pages with them, count on paying about what the albums themselves cost to have them shipped. I bought (4) albums with slips and (400) pages once and paid about $150 for the goods and a similar amount for shipping. I have all my nonsports N and T-sized cards in them and they're great. The 10 count pages offer more width than the 15 count Ultrapro pages do and I like the smaller format. The albums stack perfectly too. The Nostalgia ones have a little see through tab on the spine of the slip cover where you can put a card in to tell you what's inside. Definitely a fan. London Cigarette Company may sell some of them as well................

Looks like Rob Roy may not ship to the US............

London Cigarette Card Co DOES ship to the US. I've ordered from them before.........

Quick look shows an album with slipcover and (30) pages and shipping winds up to about 34.50 GBP or about $53.50 or so USD......

Default Update

Thought I would update this thread since others may find this useful in the future.

To avoid the hassle of trying to get something overseas, I went with the black Lighthouse VARIO three-ring binder. These are a very good quality IMO and came with the slipcase I wanted. They are $50.00 on their website but cheaper on Amazon, where I got mine. If you get the larger version, it will hold about 80 sheets - room for about 1,600 cards.

I think these are mostly used by stamp collectors, but they work great for cards, too. Thick cover and the rings are a rectangular shape with flat edges on both sides to keep from damaging the cards nearest to them. I am not sure if they have tobacco card pages but that was a non-issue for me since theirs have a black background and you can't see the backs of the cards. I am using the standard BCW tobacco card pages and using my own also allows me to use the BCW post-card sized pages, which holds graded cards.

Very happy with this binder. They are hard-cased and made out of a leathery type of material. I feel so much better with having the slipcase to enclose the binder and protect the cards. For those that go the binder route for their storage, I'd recommend this option.
