Default (3rd June Pickup Thread) .......Tina Delgado is Alive!

Posted By: DMcD

Hope youse guys don't mind if I start a new pickup thread.

Some of the goodies I have acquired over the past few months:

1) A hard to find souvenir of my teen years in Boss Angeles
2) Won last night from B-L

1) from eBay
2) Another B-L acquisition. Love that checkerboard uniform.

Both from eBay

1) eBay
2) Lelands

Gotta have a Pattee.

Go ahead, hate me. It's OK.

Vintage cards, scantily-clad Hawaiian maidens, uku-zillion penguins and more at . .

That Bengough is great! I don't think I've ever seen a signed example before. Maybe one.

Who else do you have from the set(s)? I've seen some awesome ones over the years. Let me know in an email who you still need. I could do some scouting around.

If there's one collector I will never begrudge having great cards, it is David McDonald, whose act of genrosity to me will never be forgotten. That Wagner is awesome, David.

Not cards, but thought some might like to see. A couple of scorers/watch fobs and some pinbacks.

Mike

Saw this one in Paul Muchinsky's book and finally found one, not too old, but difficult to find.

Mike,

The Lajoie fob is a beauty. I almost always see those with at least a few scratches, but the face of yours appears to be nearly flawless. Very nice!

Hi Rob,

There are some scratches to the gold border which are not readily apparent in the scan. I picked it up this morning and it was the first thing I noticed. The seller did disclose this though and overall I'm happy with it for the price paid.

Funny you posted, while waiting for this to end, I wondered if you might be out there waiting to put a snipe on me (as I know you like Cleveland/Lajoie items).

Mike

Lol. Nope. I have one, albeit not as nice as that one. I just haven't felt the need to upgrade. (Would you mind e-mailing me the link to the auction? I'm just curious who the seller is.) wolfie51sb@aol.com

Jamie,

Not 100% sure, but depending on date of issue, it could be related to Wagner's HOF induction. Or maybe a local (Pitts) commemorative event?

Edit: Rob, e-mail sent

Mike

Who ARE you people?!??!?
These are some incredible cards posted in June over the course of these pickup threads...some of them I would have thought of as rather unattainable for the vast majority of collectors....
what an amazing Board.

thanks for sharing.
