Default Vintage between Omaha and Cape May, NJ

Posted By: Ed McCollum

Leaving on a road trip Friday night that will put us in Cape May, NJ by Sunday night. Stops along the way will be in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia on the trip. Most time will be in NJ. Anyone have suggestions of where to look for vintage cards while stretching our legs during the 21 hour drive to and back? Thanks.

We just arrived home from bring in Cape May (NJ). Great time there, fine weather, loved the Atlantic. Check-out the Lobster House
at the north end of Cape May....excellent dining.

But, there are no BB cards to be found in Cape May.

the Wildwood boardwalk (what the Jersey shore is all about) is within 10 minutes and Atlantic City within 30 min. I second the Lobster House. I grew up in northern NJ, but spent many summer days down there. And yes, we call it the shore, not the beach!

Big thumbs up for the Lobster House from me as well.

The restaurant is nice but I'm just as happy ordering at the counter and eating out back by the boats or in the raw bar.

You can't miss it as it is just over the bridge on the left hand side if you are coming into Cape May via Parkway South.

It's "DOWN" the Shore for us North Jersey boys.

I haven't been to Wildwood since I've been able to drink legally, I don't think. Widest beaches I've ever seen. Used to be my favorite place in high school.

Alas, Scott already bought all the vintage cards in NJ, unfortunately.

I head to Avalon every weekend. I can't imagine being anywhere else on a summer weekend than "down the shore."

Al,

I took the family down the shore last summer and took the kids over to Morey's pier in Wildwood. The Wildwood boardwalk hasn't changed much in 30 years since I used to go there with my parents.

The tram car announcement hasn't changed and every other shop is still an over priced t-shirt joint run by "youse" guys from North Jersey
