Default Those new grading companies.....

I wasn't able to attend this yr's National but I was lucky enough to make it last year. Back in 2021, there were close to 10 new grading companies popped out from no where and was taking submissions left and right. I am just curious, how many of those new popup still survive until now and had enough money to setup in this yr's National? Anyone pay any attention at them at all?

I am not sure as my first national in 4 yrs will be next year, but my guess is, some of them are struggling. I was at a Dallas Card Show, a couple shows back, and some new grading company that was set up there was grading fakes as real. There were dealers trying to sell them that didn't know the difference either. Of course when I pointed out the "tells" they started to see the light. They weren't even good fakes LOL..

Did they see the light through the card?

At least the dealers didn't defiantly pull the "..this is a graded card, guaranteed authentic by So-and-So Grading. Unless you're a professional grader, keep your opinion to yourself..." line.

I guess they knew So-and-So Grading couldn't tell their @$$ from a hole in the ground.

Oh, believe me, until I let him know I wasn't a weekend hobbyist (whom are great, btw) he did say "but the grading company said blah, blah, blah." I actually laughed when he said that....as I was showing him why a few of the cards he had graded weren't real. And this was an older guy, like me
I venture to guess that particular grading company won't last long. I don't even remember the name.
