Looks like the seller already sold it once. Didn't like the price so cancelled the transaction and listed it again.

I don't follow all the TPG news. Are you saying that SGC will not recognize cards encapsulated in their old slabs?

If there is/was a guarantee by SGC, what is/was the guarantee?

I know there are some really old slabs from before the new (or not really new anymore, but "current") ownership that they will not guarantee. But to my knowledge most older ones they should.

What is strange to me is that the really old SGC slabs are probably more reliable than others. I've got a few and the grades were pretty close to accurate or the cards were graded a bit too stringently.

I still find it a bit ironic that the biggest grading company out there started with a trimmed card.
