My better half and I. We recently had our engagement photos taken. The streaks in the photo are water drops falling from the fountain we were standing behind. Let's see everyone! Hey lurkers, you too!

These posts always surprise me because what I picture in my mind is always vastly different than reality.

Al, I figured you were a youngin. ie...not old enough to have college age kids..don't know why, but I just did. I'm betting you're a Frankie Frisch fan eh?

Hi Dan,
Yes it is funny I thought you were a little older! Yep Im getting old! 50. My son in the middle is at Fordham now he is a Junior. Started off on the Baseball team (Pitcher) in his freshman year but being a Pre Med Major there wasnt enough time in the day for him. Div.1 baseball with the travel and the load he has to carry just wasnt in the cards! Rob Dewolf and I talked about it alot. I think he is better off . Killing my baseball buying power alot!!! Fordham at 50K a year!!!! Good old Frankie Frisch the Fordham Flash! When I would walk into the Coaches office they have the wall of Fame and there was some very nice Frisch pieces in the glass cases.

Howard, It's confusing for sure... I'm a Bostonian born and raised, the Rescue reads YFD

The login name is a tribute to some good friends assigned to FDNY 7 Truck (TL-7), lost on 9/11. A group of us worked and lived alongside the surviving members of that house that fateful week.

Take a look. The boys sell some pretty unique (and inexpensive) gear. Enjoy, Steve F

lol Just a matter of perception. I'm only 6'2" without shoes but my wife is only 4'11" on a good shoe day. My boys seem to take after thier mom's side but my little girl already is looking to take after mine. All of my great uncles were 6'7" to 7'.

David- I was thinking the same thing as Jeff, that you either are very tall or the picture is an optical illusion.

But your great uncles were between 6'7" and seven feet tall! That is very unusual.

Jeff- if I am not mistaken Manute was not the tallest member of his family. He claimed his grandfather was 7' 10"!! That's a true story.

People are putting their pictures up, which is great, but they leave out their last names, offer only their initials, or post them with an unidentifiable username.

So I still often don't know who I am looking at. Wouldn't this be a good time to include first and last names?

No problem Barry - RC stands for Richard Cline. When I started here, I wasn't aware of the practice of using your full name. By the time I was ready to change it, I realized there was a Rich Klein already on board and he is much more astute in vintage cards than myself, so rather than have confusion and get bombarded with questions I would be unable to answer I have stuck with RC and will probably continue to do so.

Enjoying the photos and the mystery regarding Manute!

Last March. 1 hour north of Fairbanks, AL. We went to see the Northern Lights and we sure did. BTW, the air temp was -20 degrees F. But with a 20-30 MPH wind, the temp. was actually listed at -40 degrees F. Was only able to stay outside like that in full weather gear for about 5 minutes. The lights were amazing as was the trip taken with my three best guy friends. To stay on topic, I will say that I visited a card/comic shop there and bought a pack of cards just to say that I bought something at a Fairbanks card shop (they had nothing older than 1989).
