Default Zack Wheat - T205 vs. 1960 Fleer

Probably not much of a thread, but thought this was interesting. Obviously the 1960 photo of Wheat was taken much later in life, but check out how the photographer for the 1960 shot used almost exactly the same pose as the T205 image from half a Century prior. Coincidence -- well, er... yeah probably. But the tilt of the cap.... hmmmmm....

i find it particularly intriguing how dissimilar zach appears in the two renditions...

Default The more I look at the 1960 Fleer...

...the more I think that it's a photo of Wheat that was actually doctored when they added the color to put a hat on him. The B certainly was painted on later. I wonder if the artist really was using the T205 as the exemplar. Thoughts on that doozie?
