Default Bond73 aka as scamming Patrick Chan

This new board is pretty good. I just called this "Bond73" person, who said they are "Scott Bob" in their registration with an area code of 847 (Chicago). He picked up the phone and I said "hello"....He said hello and I asked him who he was? He asked me and I said "Leon"...and he hung up. I called right back and no answer. He is none other than our own Patrick Chan.....How do I know for sure? John and Jim just called and said they put his number that I gave them into a google search and it came up as none other than "Patrick Chan". For the record I keep all phone numbers extremely private unless you are a thief and scammer. Then all bets are off.....

Patrick, I mean Scott Bob, I mean Bond73- would you care to answer this?

This stuff just can't be made up......and this is why I am asking for contact info.....best regards...

Bond73 has been posting here for awhile, yet when we had the thread about who ran the T206 museum, he chose to remain silent. What a guy.

He just posted in the other thread and asked if that "guy" has a printing press in his basement...when in fact he is that guy. Really sick stuff.

Look at the way that lowlife manipulated the board in that Aug 2005 post; it's a textbook case. And John- you nailed him with your post at 8:32 PM. Boy, this guy is some operator.

And who is Karr? Another alias for Patrick Chan? A partner in crime?

Scott Bob said the T206 Museum "has been helpful and honest, and never asked to buy anything." This delinquent sure knew how to cover his rear end.

Yeah Barry and most folks just think I'm a funny photo guy..which I am!

I really like how Bond73 rags on himself for his own broken English.

Funny how after the fact things seem so obvious. Scott Bob posted in defense of t206museum in every one of those threads.

Here's another thread about T206museum that he pops up in....nearly every time something came up this "Scott Bob" posted that he had "emailed them earlier".

http://www.network54.com/Forum/15365...museum.com+is-

here's another thread in which he advertises his T206 Test Strip for sale.

http://www.network54.com/Forum/15365...06+test+strips

Was it real? How much stuff was this guy faking?

Can you just imagine how it feels to be exposed after several years? The old board is locked down too so not only is the information there it's also on this board under the "archive" poster....meaning his name(s) are on the posts but he isn't the author so he can't change anything. Too bad.....For any of you Psychiatrists out there, is this Psychopathic behavour ?

to wit:
The psychopath is one of the most fascinating and distressing problems of human experience. For the most part, a psychopath never remains attached to anyone or anything. They live a "predatory" lifestyle. They feel little or no regret, and little or no remorse - except when they are caught. They need relationships, but see people as obstacles to overcome and be eliminated. If not, they see people in terms of how they can be used. They use people for stimulation, to build their self-esteem and they invariably value people in terms of their material value (money, property, etc..).
A psychopath can have high verbal intelligence, but they typically lack "emotional intelligence". They can be expert in manipulating others by playing to their emotions. There is a shallow quality to the emotional aspect of their stories (i.e., how they felt, why they felt that way, or how others may have felt and why). The lack of emotional intelligence is the first good sign you may be dealing with a psychopath. A history of criminal behavior in which they do not seem to learn from their experience, but merely think about ways to not get caught is the second best sign.

wonka

You should only post items in the b/s/t if you are sure they are originals, like my Obak series woof below

As for the museum links, isn't there a web site "look back" of some sort that can recover old web pages? I believe it's been posted about on net54.

Doing a google search you will see an option to view a cached website...you can look at old websites that way.

IF "drama" means catching someone ripping others off for 10's of thousands of dollars, repeatedly, then yes, I guess the drama followed us over here. I hope it continues too. The more scammers that are nailed the better.

I have had past transactions on ebay with Patrick Chan under 2 different ebay names, tfever and freemanh. I plan on adding the names to the block bidder and seller list.

Talking about the scumbag, and celebrating the disclosure is great, but not enough.

Setting a strong legal example, a statement that will get the attention of other potential slimeballs ... that's what was lacking in the Koos infestation.

This is where the Jeff's of this community, the dealers, the auction houses, the collectors, the flippers, and the forum owners come in ... Enough is Enough!

Back in 1990, I almost threw up my hands, if it were not for the support of Lipset, Macrae, Fritsch and Kaufman. ... Let me not forget Bob Lemke, he was in the middle of it, a tough place to be ... he represented SCD, and Fantasia, (Danny Dupchek) ran ad's in same.

The above names helped this collector maintain the love of his sublimation.
Like then ... I'll be damned if I'll allow anyone to mess with my HOBBY!

Have we learned anything, or will history repeat itself?

Dan, It doesn't surprise me that you would be one of the first to put on the gloves.
Glad to see that you feel that our childhood/current childhood addiction, is worth fighting for.

Hopefully, others will feel the same way. ... we'll see.

This case will not be brought with federal charges. After Chan made restitution it just didn't warrant federal charges. That's not my opinion that is the authorities opinion. This will have to be done at the local police level if anyone wants to go there. Charges would probably (correct me lawyers if I am wrong) need to be brought by someone he scammed. I don't know the law well enough but the first step would be to get a hold of local authorities ( I guess where the scammer lives or the plaintiffs live) and see if they want to go with it. Personally I think he should get more than an informal warning with no legal action. regards

edited to add- I am in no way speaking for any agency or anyone but me. When I said above it's the authorities opinion I should have said it's actually my opinion of how they might view the situation.

Leon ... having seen this movie before.
Having played a part in the movie.
Having been disappointed by some of the cast members in the movie.
After all that has transpired in this one.
After all the people involved, and that includes an auction house.
I'll watch and see how this one is handled, if at all? ... if not?
The Chan's of the world will see it as an Open Door Community, and declare an Open Season on same ... History will repeat itself!

I don't understand the Fed's on this. He has sold a few of these or traded for expensive stuff and gets caught. Probably $100K + here. So he pays back 1 victom and walks freely. Maybe it is just me but shouldn't the Fed's go to the local authorities if it is too small for them?? Just walking away makes absolutely no logical sense to me at all.

It is telling me that it is ok for me to scam people, just have the money ready if I get caught to pay back.

Absolutely NO risk for tons of gain here.

I can see them not messing with it cause it is too small for them and understandably but to knowingly let it slide just amazes me.

I am probably missing something or missed reading a post on 1 of the several pages (I hate the multiple pages in a thread) but I just can't believe what I am seeing happen here, nothing.

I am with you Leon, he deserves to be punished. Too much effort and premeditation involved.

I think one of the criteria to bring charges (and I guess this would be the Prosecutor) would be if restitution has been made or not. My understanding is that, right now, no one is out any hard money (not counting time and any small minimal expense).....If you know something different please enlighten me/us. Now my view on the Chan deal is that he should get some form of legal action.....and any of us could try to get that done, I guess.....at least on a local, state? level. I am with you in thoughts.....

I agree Dan.
Here is one more thought-if Chan made a stamp or what ever he used to reproduce the Sweet Cap bar and used it to make the most rare back there is. What if he also made a Broad Leaf 460 stamp, skins a T206 and puts the BL 460 stamp on it.
Possible right!
He could be making Drum, Uzits BL 460s. He obviously took time to fake the bar Old Mills -How much time has he spent trying to make other creations?
