Default Don't discount the dots.....so fast

Seems every day in this hobby there is something to learn. I had always thought that dot patterns in white borders were a red flag, ALWAYS. A month or so ago there were a few Vancouver Peanut cards on ebay, being sold by a board member. Someone emailed to ask my thoughts and I said I thought one of them was not good due to a dot pattern all the way through the white border. Last week I spoke to Mark M. about it and he said he confirmed that the card was good, with a collector of that series. I just thought I would point this out as I know, though there might be more, of no other series that would have this dot pattern in the border, and be a legit card. Here is a type from the set (it is not the card in question, however). regards

Leon, the V122 Willard's Chocolate set is the same way. As you can see on this card of a skier that the grayish color of the border on the cards was printed on as it is off-center and the top shows the actual cardboard color, and here is a Ruth card with regular borders, the Murphy shows where the ink used on the borders sometimes bunched up and causes them to look stained or smeared...
