As a longtime Cardinal fan I hated to hear of Schofield's death. His best seasons were with Pittsburgh, but we had him in St. Louis three times. He was a valuable guy who could come off the bench and play good defense anywhere. RIP Ducky.

RIP.

A few years ago, I started working on getting the 1960 Pirates to sign their team card from that year, and Mr. Schofield was kind enough to sign for me (he's in the lower right corner).
