Default Which non-mainstream sets have been completed?

Posted By: Glen V

Scott M. completed the 1910 All Star Base-ball set. Leon "found" the only complete Western Playground set. A few sets of Lections have been put together. Others?

No real non-mainstream sets completed but I think the best "set" I have been luckey enough to put together is the e94 Overprint set.....(known types).....I am not sure it could be done again today. I might see about 1-2 a yr of these for sale and they are usually the Blomes, which are by far the most "common"....I also have the m101-4/5 back set complete (as far as I know)....with the 3 Gimbels variations, thanks to Jay M. for that...

also, just the other day I noticed the Pennant Winners are in here twice, instead of my other one.....can anyone tell me what other one is missing? (trivia question)

Leon,
When are you going to sell me that E94 sub-set?

I have no problem with the condition. Does that mean they are sold?

Not quite.....the main thing is they aren't for sale ....If they were for sale I think it would be pretty hard to put a market value on them to price them....I know I paid record prices from Lew when I bought most of them....I will never forget it...He couldn't believe I wanted to make a straight, first bid, of over 1k each, for 8 he had in his collection (and all are pictured in his encyclopedia)....the first day of the auction. I did and they held (fortunately).....I think this was the only time that strategy has worked for me. Talk to ya soon....

You are mistaking....that was the one where I cost myself about a grand as I bumped myself, accidentally.....my n172 Wright in a 6 holder and N690 Boston are in a good home now....those were the days.....we actually used to have fun....
