Default Post card glued to construction paper.

Hi guys,

There is a post card I've been watching on EBAY that was glued to construction paper. The card is in GREAT shape on the front and if I could get it off the construction paper without killing the back of it, it would be well worth the price the guy is asking.

What would be the best way to detach it?

I've never soaked a postcard before...and I don't think I'd even try. I have removed some postcards from scrapbooks and some came off easily and others brought along the scrapbook page with it which I carefully, slowly removed bit by bit until I could get most of it off...I even used an emery board to sand off down to the postcard... Very time consuming.

Construction paper tends to bleed when soaked, you have to really rinse it good and use cold water, not warm or hot. Kinda like laundry. AND that is if the glue is water soluable. If it's plain old flour aka wheat paste you are fine. If it's the brown horse glue, forget it.

A hair dryer,,, works with tape and I recommended it here earlier for another problem and it worked like a charm.
