Another OJ question

Just curious how Bug Holliday got in the OJ set listed as being with Cincinnati when his only stints with them were 1892 and 1896? He played for no other major league team during his career. |

Another OJ question

Although he was supposed to begin his major league career in 1888 with Saint Louis as a replacement for Curt Welch, his contract was awarded to Des Moines after a dispute between the two clubs. With Cincinnati the next year, he was the American Association's top rookie and a star caliber performer for them for six years. |

Another OJ question

I woke up this morning and realized that once again, when I went to baseball-reference.com I forgot to scroll down and see if there was more to his career. You'd think I would learn my lesson that many 19th century players pitched and played the field during their careers. Chalk up another one for the original dunderhead. |
