That Martens Cobb is really ugly Leon. You should get rid of it immediately.

Nice cards, everyone. Beautiful Cobb, Leon. Eyepopping image, rare back. A Net54 Hall of Famer, for sure.

My favorite bread cards:

When I first saw a D304 Matty posted on this site it was love at first sight. Had to get one. Then I figured, what the heck, I'll collect the whole set. Only 25 cards, right? A zillion dollars later . . . http://tinyurl.com/28pquo

Bruce B., Presto Change-o, your bread card is now a caramel card. But I'd take yours every time. Cool back.

Wow, David, two of my favorite cards -- especially the Wagner. Leon, that Cobb really makes me jealous. The Cobb and Tip Top Wagner might be my two favorite cards of all time.

Great cards....Someone, I think Bruce Babcock, showed a D304 Cobby not too long ago and when I saw it I knew I wanted one. Those darn things aren't too cheap .......You are a mad man for going for the whole set....

the colors on that Christy are ridiculous!

Nice Wagner, Leon. Was he born old? Most photos of him make him look 73.

My official position remains that I don't like bread cards. For the same reason I don't like Top-tier HOFers of any issue, OJs, CJs and Mayos...the price tags!

My D304 Young and D359 livingston are in the safe deposit box. I thought I had scans of them. I guess not.

My favorite bread card....

ca.1941 (D-Unc.) Kroger Bread (uncatalogued)

PS thanks Ed for posting that 1928 Greiners Bread card, I had never seen one and thought that the existence of them might be a myth.

Frank,
I've had that card for about 20 yrs. I've been searching for another without success for as long as I've had it. As far as I know it's still the only one extant.

Here's one of my favorites. From the Holsum Bread set that Rhett seems to have a near monopoly on.

Hi Jim,

It's the first I've seen too. There's a lot of Butter Krust advertising out there, but not much from the d304 period.

Believe it or not I bought it on ebay a couple of weeks ago for $7.
I was pretty excited about it.

Rob
