Joe had signed two full signatures on the item in addition to this "Jo", as if Joe was practicing his autograph. Even though it's only 2 letters, it looks better than the Christies example (to me). The two "J"s are way too tall on Christies' example, and no other known exemplar is even close to looking like that.

Too bad the 2-letter version got "leafed" (or maybe leaved?)
