Default Cicotte question

Hey, another noob question, thank you guys for your patience.
One card I still need for my Boston T206 team sets is Eddie Cicotte, and I've found that it's in much higher demand than most common T206 cards. Is he in higher demand because he was a dominant pitcher and could have been HOFer, because of his ties to the Black Sox scandal, or because there are simply fewer Cicotte cards in circulation? Perhaps another reason?
Just curious. Thanks!!
