Default It's here! Auction Catalogs

Posted By: JudgeDred2

I still enjoy getting auction catalogs in the mail, UPS or FedEx. The Mastro catalog showed up today. Whether it's a Mastro, REA, Lipset, Sloate or whomevers catalog, I still get a kick out of it. Just out of curiosity, when do most people find time to thumb through a catalog?:

  1. On the can
  2. Before going to bed
  3. In the office (at work)
  4. While the significant other is watching TV (usually some garbage that you just can't sit through)

If you work at home, have a tv in the bedroom and own a bedpan, you can do all four simultaniously.

Good one David I do three of the four, but for the life of me can't figure out what I did with my bedpan. I actually read the catalogs at my desk, and occasionally while watching TV. But they vary in size- mine makes an excellent bookmark when you have to take a break from reading Mastro's!

Two for me.

I still can't figure out why all these auctions happen at once. We have nothing for several months, then BAM. I received my fifth catalog today and I think there are three more en route.

Mark Twain wrote, and received guests, in his bed.

Number one while doing "number two" is always a good time for auction catalogue reading.

Barry,
"But they vary in size- mine makes an excellent bookmark when you have to take a break from reading Mastro's!".

I had my annual physical this past Friday and took a book with me as I was expecting plenty of waiting room time. My bookmark was your catlog.

The Doctor saw the book and asked what I was reading and asked what the "thing with pretty looking baeball cards" was. I ended up giving him the catlog, so you may have a new bidder.

That's a good story. I don't think too many of my catalogs are saved.

Barry, Nietzsche said his ultimate goal was to fit an entire book into one
sentence. A bookmark would be enough for a few books plus the grocery list.

The average person is more likely to keep an out of date gas station map than an
out of date Sears catalog.

at my computer desk.

Besides ,reading a Mastro book would lead to a spastic colon from
sitting to long on the porcelain throne....and it is TOO heavy to
endure while dreaming there !
