Default 1970 Topps Calvin Hill - name in red or black version?

I have this Calvin Hill rookie and the catalog has two variations. A name in Red and a name in Black. Which is this one?

That is perplexing. Why isn't COWBOYS also in red and black? ETA: Not knowing much about these I looked them up and apparently the Hill and Lance Rentzel were originally printed with their names in black in error, all of the other Cowboys have red names and both were later corrected. Is it possible that when Topps made the correction that they just covered the black ink names with red? I can't think of any other explanation for the card to have both a red name and a black name and for the COWBOYS to not be the same way. Edited again, I have another theory now, the Hill and the Rentzel were mistakenly printed with the black name on the final black ink run on both cards and it covered the correct red name that was already there, the error was caught and the black names were removed from the final black ink run leaving only the correct red ink names.

Interesting theories. I never gave it any thought as to why it got that way. I just thought it was neat and thought I would post it. thanks for the input.

That is the most plausible explanation to me, the Hill and Rentzel both had the correct red name during the earlier printing process but both then also had an incorrect black name as part of the final black ink print run that then covered the correct red name, it was eventually caught and the black name was removed from the printing process. ETA, to answer your original question if my last theory is correct then the card is technically a black name card, if it wasn’t out of register then the final black ink print run would have covered the correct red name with the erroneous black name.
