Default Vintage Card Game with Baseball Questions

Hi-

Has anyone seen this group of playing cards before? There are 28 cards, and two show baseball. These appear to be images of the Brownies (the little elves) that also appear on a few baseball trade cards from the 1880s/90s. How many cards are in the set? Any other baseball ones? Does anyone know the manufacturer or when the game was made? Any idea how it was played? All of the cards are blank backed. Please feel free to share any information you might have regarding these.

Alan

Thank you Bruce! I have started the research you suggested and while I haven't found these exact cards, the information I have read is fascinating. I will continue to research this angle and will report back if I find the exact game.
