Anybody in NYC know if there's a quick train to the show?
Posted By: Chad
I live in the UES. I wasn't planning on going as I can't really buy anything now but I might run up there to poke around if I can get in and out quick. The website for the show only has driving directions, though and I am without a car. Is there a quick commute by train available? |

Which is convenient to the show. While I never used it, I know several people here at Beckett who used the train to go from Manhattan to White Plains. |

take metro north from grand central to white plains. newspaper salespeople, cops, taxi drivers, etc, can point you in the right direction. 5-10 min walk from train station. |

It's a little embarassing that I have no idea how to get there. Living in NYC, it's weird how gepgraphically small your world becomes. Growing up in Calif. we thought nothing driving a hundred miles in a day to goof off, but now that I live in the City, you can't even get me into Queens without dragging my butt there. |

You need to get to Grand Central Station -- apologies if you know where it is, but if you don't, it's at 42nd and Park Avenue. There are entrances on the south side of Grand Central on 42nd and on the east and west sides on 43rd. You can also get in on 45th, through the main entrance to the MetLife Building. |
