OT? The current state of baseball in regards to card collecting
Hey guys,
After reading your responses to the reason you collect, it occurs to me that although I enjoy baseball today, with the current salaries, ego"s and p.e.d. issues the game Just isn't as "fun" ad it used to be. Granted, I was born after the Golden age of baseball, I feel more of a kinship of sorts with the game and players that were around 30+ years before I was born. That's Wnhat really draws.me to the cards I guess. Even if the cards were worthless from back in those days, I would still collect them, simply because it gives me a physical connection to the players who power back when it was still truly Just a "game" Last edited by Browncow75; 05-23-2013 at 04:04 PM. |

Have you ever watched the video series 'When it Was a Game'? That fits in with what you're saying and I couldn't agree more!
