Default 1953 Topps -- Card Gallery

Near the end of the 1952 Topps thread, there were suggestions to do the same with the 1953 Topps set, so here we go. Same idea as in that thread, post a card a day from the 1953 Topps set in numerical order.

Here's Jackie Robinson to start it off.

I'd better post mine. I won't have many others to contribute to this thread.

If Bob had started with anything other than a 7, I think we would have needed to end the thread.

Amazing Card Bob.

Here's mine on the opposite end. My dad was born in '46 and bought this in '53 when he was seven. I won't be upgrading this one.

Default Хай живе Україна...

The first of the '53 short prints. As long as there was a team in need of a reliable backstop that was also, by the way, a terrific clutch pinch hitter, old Smoky had a spot in MLB for about 20 seasons.

At least Topps got that one right in 1973. I guess getting only 3 of 8 wrong wasn’t too bad

Thanks Bob! You have an amazing set that seems to be an average 7.5 or better! Not many out there like that!

Your Mick & mine are amazingly alike w/ regards to T-B & L-R centering!
